James Coplan MD

Dr. James Coplan is Board-Certified in pediatrics, and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Child Neurology Society. He is also the sibling of an individual with special needs. Dr. Coplan has published extensively in the medical literature on early speech and language development, and has written a book for parents of children on the autistic spectrum: "Making Sense of Autistic Spectrum Disorders: Create the brightest future for your child with the best treatment options" (Bantam-Dell, 2010). Dr. Coplan retired from clinical practice in 2014. He continues to provide consultation services within the special education, family law, and juvenile justice arenas, where the issues pertain to the special needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
