Pam Allyn is a world-renowned literacy expert, author and motivational speaker. She is the Founder of LitWorld, a groundbreaking global literacy movement serving children across the United States and in more than 60 countries, and LitLife, a cutting-edge consulting group working with schools to enrich teaching methods and curriculum in reading and writing.

Pam is Scholastic's Open a World of Possible Ambassador and received the 2013 Scholastic Literacy Champion Award. She is a spokesperson for BIC Kids, championing BIC's 2014 "Fight For Your Write" campaign. Pam is the author of many books, including Every Child a Super Reader, Your Child's Writing Life (winner of the Mom's Choice Award), What to Read When (winner of the National Parenting Magazine Award), and Pam Allyn's Best Books for Boys. Her most recent series, Core Ready, published in 2013, is a 14-book series focusing on the Common Core Learning Standards. Pam is featured widely in the press and on the blogosphere as a reading expert for both home and school. She has been seen most recently on NBC News, CNN, and Al-Jazeera, speaking to the power of education and literacy to transform lives and to create gender equity. She was selected as an inaugural Kellogg Foundation Fellow in Racial Equity and Healing in April 2014.
