Renée Peltz Dennison, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Psychology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where she is also affiliated with the interdisciplinary program for Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her areas of interest include relationship formation, gender roles and expectations in marriage, the effects of family-of-origin experiences on current relationships, adolescent/emerging adult development, and mixed methodologies. She teaches classes on development and relationships, including Adolescent Development, and Psychology of the Family. She has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Personal Relationships, the Journal of Family Psychology, and the Journal of Divorce and Remarriage. In addition, Dr. Dennison’s research has been featured in a number of media outlets such as The Huffington Post, The New York Daily News, and Science World Report.
