Drew A. Curtis, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist, a Rodgers Distinguished Faculty member at Angelo State University (ASU), and the director of the Psy.D. and MS counseling psychology programs there. His research has specifically focused on pathological lying and deception in the context of therapy, within healthcare professions, intimate relationships, and parental relationships. He has co-authored two books with Dr. Chris Hart, Pathological Lying: Theory, Research, and Practice and Big Liars: What Psychological Science Tells Us About Lying, and How You Can Avoid Being Duped. Curtis has also written and published an abnormal psychology textbook, a book about psychopathology, several papers on deception, and received various research grants and awards for his research.
