Kenneth E. Miller, Ph.D., is the Edith Lando Professor in Counselling for Refugee and Immigrant Youth and Families at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He is the author of War Torn: Stories of Courage, Love, and Resilience (Larson Publications, 2016) and co-editor of The Mental Health of Refugees (Routledge, 2004). He has worked with refugees and other war-affected populations since 1991, as a researcher, clinician, consultant, and filmmaker. Ken has an online psychotherapy and coaching practice and writes about mindfulness and the science of helping relationships.
