Alan Fogel, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology Emeritus at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and has been an active contributor to research on emotional and sensorimotor development in the social context during infancy and adulthood for the past 35 years. His books include Developing through Relationships (1993, Chicago), Change Processes in Relationships (2006, Cambridge), Infancy: Infant, family, and society, 6th edition (2014, Sloan), Infant Development: A Topical Approach, 2nd Edition (2015, Sloan), Body Sense: The Science and Practice of Embodied Self-Awareness (2013, Norton), and Restorative Embodiment and Resilience: A Guide to Disrupt Habits, Create Inner Peace, Deepen Relationships, and Feel Greater Presence (2021, North Atlantic Books). Fogel is also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, a licensed massage therapist, a Rosen Method Bodywork practitioner and senior teacher, and founding editor of the Rosen Method International Journal.
