Nick Bowman, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts broadly addressing the uses and effects of digital media, with a focus on video games and metaverse technologies. He has taught courses on media psychology and research design in the US, Belgium, Germany, Mexico, and Taiwan, and is a former Fulbright Taiwan Wu Jing-Jyi Arts & Culture Fellow at the National Chengchi University in Taipei. He is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Media Psychology and has edited four other academic journals.
