Suzanne Allen, Psy.D., and Annalise Caron, Ph.D., are licensed clinical psychologists and parents. Together, they make up "The Parenting Pair."

Suzanne Allen, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist, co-director of a private practice, and one-half of “The Parenting Pair,” an initiative dedicated to creating online parenting resources for science-informed, compassionate, and connected parenting. She received her master's and doctorate from St. John’s University and her undergraduate degree in psychology from Loyola University New Orleans. She completed her doctoral internship at The School at Columbia University and additional pre-doctoral training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York.

In addition to extensive training in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Dr. Allen has been intensively trained in a variety of other evidence-based treatments such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and the treatment of ADHD across the lifespan.

Dr. Allen has a passion for working with children, teens, and their families that began with early research examining parenting self-efficacy. Throughout her years of clinical work, she has treated hundreds of children and teens with mental health concerns and helped guide families through their child’s development, no matter how challenging or difficult it has been. More recently, Dr. Allen has committed to sharing her clinical expertise with a wider audience of families and has written articles across a number of publications and written content with Calm Health for direct delivery to teens in the areas of ADHD, depression, and anxiety. Dr. Annalise Caron is a licensed clinical psychologist, certified CBT therapist, and director of a psychology group practice in Westport, CT. She is one half of “The Parenting Pair,” which is an online initiative that provides science-informed guidance to parents of teens and tweens with mental health concerns. Dr. Caron is a Certified Diplomat of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and is extensively trained in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), as well as a variety of other evidenced based therapies including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

Dr. Caron has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, insomnia, OCD, and ADHD. She has authored professional research articles, book chapters, and articles in popular media re: child/adolescent mental health, parenting, and evidence-based therapies. In addition to her written work, Dr. Caron has been asked to speak with parents and educators at a number of community and school events in order to educate others on the mental health needs of children and teenagers.
