Maggie Kozel, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the AAP’s Council on School Health.

Kozel practiced primary care pediatrics for three decades before accepting a position as Medical Director of the Inpatient MedPsych program at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, RI. Maggie has written extensive commentary on healthcare reform and is the author of two books, The Color of Atmosphere: One Doctor’s Journey In and Out of Medicine (2011) and My Legs are Crying: What a Pediatrician Learned About Emotionally-Based Illness (2023).
