Robert Kovach, Ph.D., has spent his entire career working as a trusted advisor to senior leaders wanting to improve the effectiveness of themselves, their teams, and their companies. Robert uses behavioral science to help executives understand their own, and others’ approaches to work so they can be more effective in an international and digital business environment. He advises on how to communicate across generations, prioritize and scale in a global economy, and develop relationships with stakeholders. Robert has provided expert commentary for numerous publications, including Harvard Business Review, The Financial Times and The Times. He has authored more than 80 articles on leadership effectiveness and organizational development.

From 2007 to 2020, Robert was part of the global executive assessment and development team at Cisco. His roles prior to joining Cisco include senior consultant and managing director of the London office for RHR International and director of Human Resources for Central & Eastern Europe and Russia with PepsiCo based in Warsaw, Poland. In addition, Robert has been a director of the Executive M.B.A. and member of faculty for both Hult Ashridge Executive Education in the United Kingdom and the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.

Robert received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Butler University, a master’s degree in industrial-organizational psychology from Radford University, and his Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from Wayne State University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. Robert is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council in the United Kingdom and is a registered European Psychologist (EuroPsy). He also holds a diploma in board governance from the Financial Times Board Director Programme. He divides his time between the east coast of the United States and London.
