Robert N. Johansen, Ph.D., is a member of the American Psychological Association and co-director of the Cerritos Psychological Center, where he has been in practice for 41 years, specializing in couple's therapy and the supervision of psychology interns. He has co-authored a professional journal article in "The Therapist" on a new couple's treatment model as well as two books on the same model, including Need Management Therapy: A New Science of Love, Intimacy, and Relationships. He has taught psychology at several colleges and has lectured at UCLA, the Milton Erickson International Foundation, the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists, and continuing education for faculty at Alliant University. He has also been featured on National Public Radio (NPR) and ABC Radio, and has made two YouTube presentations explaining his new couple's treatment model.
