About

Sandra Parker, Ph.D., is a registered psychologist in Vancouver and the author of Embracing Unrest: Harness Vulnerability to Tame Anxiety and Spark Growth. Over the past 30 years, she has helped people turn toward their inner experience with compassion. She invites people to understand unrest as a call to come home to the body in moments of vulnerability, and to resolve anxiety, depression, and loss of intimacy. Her practice explores ideas from developmental psychology, neurobiology, psychodynamic therapy, experiential processes, and mindfulness practices. She earned her doctoral degree at the University of British Columbia and is a member of the BC Psychological Association, the Canadian Psychological Association, and the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
