Stephanie Sarkis, Ph.D., N.C.C., D.C.M.H.S., L.M.H.C., is the author of seven books, including Gaslighting: Recognize Manipulative and Emotionally Abusive Peopleand Break Free.

Dr. Sarkis is a AMHCA Diplomate and Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Counseling, one of 20 clinicians in the world with this dual designation. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family and Civil Circuit Mediator. Dr. Sarkis also has a private practice in Tampa, Florida, where she provides counseling, evaluation, testing, coaching, and mediation services.

In 2001, Dr. Sarkis was awarded an "Outstanding Dissertation Award" from the American Psychological Association. Dr. Sarkis has been published in the Journal of Attention Disorders, The ADHD Report, and National Psychologist. She also writes blogs for The Huffington Post and Psychology Today.
