Wendy L. Patrick, J.D., Ph.D. is a career prosecutor, international public speaker, author, and media commentator.

Dr. Patrick is recognized by her peers as one of the Top Ten criminal attorneys in San Diego by the San Diego Daily Transcript and was presented by the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court with the California Public Lawyer of the Year award from the State Bar’s Public Law Section. Dr. Patrick has completed more than 160 trials, including over 100 jury trials ranging from stalking, to domestic violence, to first-degree murder.

Passionate about public safety, Dr. Patrick speaks and teaches all over the world on how to protect individuals and communities from sexual assault, sexual harassment, human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexually violent predators.

Dr. Patrick has over 8,000 media appearances, including multiple appearances on CNN, HLN, Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and Newsmax, as well as a variety of other national and international programs. She currently hosts her own radio show, Today with Dr. Wendy on KCBQ, has a regular radio tour on Fox News Radio called Weekly Legal, a weekly slot on Fox 5 San Diego called Inside the Law, and had her own segment for years as a behavioral analyst on Australia´s Seven Network Morning Show called Spotted, and is a regular guest on Crime Stories with Nancy Grace.

Dr. Patrick has been quoted by a wide variety of sources, including the New York Times, USA Today, US News and World Report, Washington Post, Associated Press, Bloomberg Businessweek, CSNBC, CNN.com, Harvard Business Review, The Christian Science Monitor, Cosmopolitan, and The Oprah Magazine.

Bringing a well-rounded perspective to her public speaking, Dr. Patrick is the author of Red Flags: How to Spot Frenemies, Underminers, and Ruthless People and co-author of the New York Times bestseller Reading People (revision). She has a Master of Divinity degree summa cum laude from Bethel Seminary and a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Wales.

In her spare time, she plays the first violin for the La Jolla Symphony and plays the electric violin in a rock band.
